Pink Waves

Pink Waves was inspired by the river that runs through my hometown in West Virginia and by the evening I first met my significant other along its shore.
As the sun began to set, the sky burned with brilliant orange before softening into shades of peach, rose, and deep magenta. The colors spilled across the river’s surface and touched the distant mountains, transforming the familiar landscape into something almost otherworldly. For a brief moment, the water seemed to hold the sky itself.
Years later, the memory of that evening remains as vivid as the colors reflected across the river. This painting is my attempt to preserve that moment—the beginning of a love story, suspended beneath a glowing sky.
