Comet's Passing (Painting)

$1,000.00
sold out

This work is 16x20 inch acrylic painting on canvas and was created in late 2023.

Comet’s Passing is a dedication to my sweet cat Comet, who passed in August 2023. I rescued him outside my house when he was just a kitten during my first year of art school. He loved to watch me make art and would fall asleep after long hours. The night of his passing, a meteor was recorded soaring through the sky of West Virginia and it felt like a sign that he is now in a much better place. The gazebo was inspired by Thomas Kinkade’s Pools of Serenity. This piece holds a special place in my heart along with the memories of my once in a lifetime friend.
